The automobile industry is known for its high standards of quality.  If quality assurance is the top priority within the whole firm, then demands for a failure tolerance of nil ppm and just in time delivery have to be met.  The metalworks Wöhrle GmbH has reacted to market research and has chosen to replace its CAQ system with that of iqs Software GmbH.

For the past ten years, Wöhrle has used a computer supported quality assurance system.  This was necessary as the headquarters of Wöhrle in Wildberg has 220 employees in 3 differenct locations producing complex 3D parts in all kinds of steel, NE metals, aluminium and stainless steel for customers in industries such as condensing and cooling, motors and gearing.  With a year on year volume increase up to 10%, the metal fabricators have seen a rapid expainsion in their firm.
