Economically beneficial

The iqs tool information system (WZI) enables you to recognise capacity limits of tools and indicates in good time when to order capacity and spare tools. Moreover it is possible to plan in the necessary time for tool maintenance. Capacity bottle necks and error prone production due to use of worn out tools can be avoided. Tool specific data is maintained within the system and can be called up at any time. In this way you have a complete tool history.

Extensive Tool Management

The tool management contains all customers, suppliers and tool specific data - for example: master data, number of tools, tool ownership, tool costs, tool cavity quantity, capital and running costs, tool changes for different variations, annual capacity, total output, setting up time, performance ratio of the tool, replenishment lead time for a replacement tool.

Quantity and supplier queries

The cyclical calculation of current planned values and the planning from extrapolated data enables the re-ordering time of replacement tools to be ascertained on time. The iqs WZI includes a service for paperless cyclical surveys of all data by supplier with automatic transfer of supplier information into the WZI.

Reminder mail and resubmissions

When an ordering point for capacity and spare tools is reached or when the service life of the tool has been overrun or when the depreciation or amortisation point is reached, those responsible will receive a corresponding message via email.

  • Early recognition of capacity limits, when the service life of the tool has been overrun and tool depreciation (comparison between planning and reality).
  • Cyclical queries on quantity (planned values and actual supplied values)
  • Extrapolation under observance of replacement time of follow on / spare tools
  • Tool data transferable from supplier systems via interfaces.
  • Enables on time ordering through informing those responsible early enough.
  • Automatic warning via email when, for example, the monthly set capacity or total output of a tool has been overrun.
  • Help with tool layout (quantity / cavity quantity)
  • Sufficient time for tool maintenance as capacity bottle necks can be excluded
  • Events per tool (e.g. manage maintenance)
  • Interfaces for PPS system e.g. for transfer of order or supplied quantities.
  • Extensive evaluations by supplier., parts, tools, material groups etc.
  • Event mail and resubmissions
  • Adding of quantity quotas, e.g. a part that needs multiple tools, warning when the 100% limit is exceeded.
  • Complete tool history available
  • Browser based application
  • Cost overview at the tool level
